A temporary housing initiative that connects homeowners with the newly immigrated to help create a more streamlined experience when settling down in a new country

User Testing
We gathered multiple permanent residents and immigrants to get a better understanding of how our app would be used and if there were any frictions along the way.

We identified two design issues from our user testings: visual consistency and content design. In consistency, the main issue was identifying the appearance of interactive features. In content design, our application suffered from poor word choices and ambiguity of shapes and symbols
Search Results
Through an A/B test, we asked users to find a listing with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, informing them that they could assume the app had taken this information into account.
We measured efficiency of search by recording the number of seconds it took from viewing the search results screen and locating the listing with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Conclusion
Easing Transitions for a Successful Future
With Tempô, newcomers are able to find a suitable house near their preferred neighborhood with less effort so that they can settle down soon and start their lives more confidently in a new country.
An easier way to find temporary housing means that soon-to-be permanent residents can spend more time focusing on other pressing needs, such as finding jobs and a permanent home.
