About Cynthia Yuqing Pan
I am a multi-disciplinary designer with specialized experience in digital media, inventive technologies, and design research.
Prior to my life at RCA, I was majoring in Interactive Arts and Technology at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada. I was immersed in the environment where people from different creative fields joined together to make technological innovations and services to tackle social issues. I have also worked in different settings, such as hospitality, curation, and service design, to observe real world problems and become an empathetic thinker. I have developed my keen interest in empathetic research processes and human-centered design ever since then.
I genuinely believe that designers have a role in the future of designing intangible things; such as services and experiences; to tackle complex cultural, technological, and systematic issues.
Through my time practicing service design, I’ve come to understand that service design is about a holistic understanding of the relationship between people, society, and the future.
Coupled with my strong desire to impact the future of society positively, I am dedicated to working with others(in an interdisciplinary setting) on projects to innovate and develop new processes and services that are futuristic and human-oriented.
